Website Provider Listings
The searchable provider listings allow both families and other providers easy access to your contact information, email, and/or web site.

Resource Guide
This printed guide is available to families through their doctors, childbirth prep classes and other providers. They are also available from maternity stores, baby stores (including Babies R Us), and public libraries.

Meet the Doulas Nights
If you are a doula, this is a fantastic way to meet with expectant families. It is held once a month in Campbell at Harmony Birth Resources on the 4th Sunday of the month from 4-6 pm. There is also a Saturday Tea held in south county (Morgan Hill/Gilroy area). Free for BABI members to participate, $5 charge for doulas who are not members.

Meet BABI
This open house event connects expectant and new parents with dedicated professionals, services, information and resources in the Bay Area. Members receive discounts on vendor space at Meet BABI and can display brochures for free at the BABI table. Meet BABI 2007 will be held on April 28th from 10am - 4pm.


Network with Other Professionals
Join our supportive community and connect with other birth professionals. BABI is a great place to learn from each other, meet mentors, and get client referrals.

 
BABI Circle
A casual gathering every six weeks for the purpose of socializing with other professionals and sharing information on birth-related topics.

BABI Connections
A social and networking open house event for BABI Members and any interested friends and colleagues.

SBBC Yahoo Group
The SouthBayBirthCircle yahoo group is a discussion forum for birth related topics. From discussion about the latest studies to asking for advice and information, this mailing list provides a forum for members to connect with other professionals in the bay area.


Education
Continual learning is important for all professionals. BABI recognizes there are many forms of education and seeks to foster various opportunities for growth for our members.

 
Doula Peer Review
Local doula peer review brings together BABI doulas on a regular basis to discuss their cases and learn from each other. It is an opportunity for community cohesiveness and can serve as a foundation when difficult situations arise.

BABI Circle
In addition to the social component, BABI Circles often offer a presentation or discussion for members to keep current on birth topics.

Discounts on BABI sponsored workshops
BABI believes in continuing education and aims to help bring relevant workshops and talks to our community. Discounts will be offered to BABI members when possible.
